 | | | I have two things to praise God for: As some of you know, I have been going downhill rapidly the past 5 weeks. My stomach so big I thought it would burst. It got to the point that I could do very little around the house. Dennis has been pushing me to get someone to see that I do the juicing, etc., and I finally agreed to look for someone. I called Earnest Clark who is in charge of the visitation group at the church. He had the name of a woman who had called him several months ago. Christine Payne was sent to me by God, I am sure. She is not only taking good care of me, but is willing to help me with some of my housework. And, she is a nurse! Used to nurse up at Wildwood. She is a little younger than me, and I loved her immediately. Yesterday she took me to Memorial where my doctor had ordered the draining of the extra liquid that was making my stomach swell. They removed 5.3 liters of liquid from my abdomen. A liter is a litter more than a quart. I felt so much better afterwards that I almost sang to the nurses and technicions. There is a temporary pain where they put a catheter, but it is already better this morning. The catheter is there to drain off new liquid so I won't have to go through the other procedure again. I am supposed to rest at home today and tomorrow, so I won't see you at Sabbath School. But, praise God, I should be able to come after that. Carol Pettibone | | |
